Michael Willis

Michael is an applied social scientist and an infrastructure development specialist with 20 years experience engagement and social impact. He brings a breadth and depth of experience working on infrastructure across different industries including energy (transmission &, generation), transport (road and rail), water (hydro power, pipelines), local government, and mining sectors, on project both nationally and internationally. Michael spent the last 4 years on the front line of the renewable energy transition as strategic engagement manager for AusNet on the Western Renewables Link Project. Michael and his team were focused on building and maintaining positive working relationships with the projects most complex stakeholders including highly opposed landholders, opposition groups, complaints bodies, regulators and elected officials. Michael left AusNet in late 2024 to establish Seesaw Engagement with the aim of helping organisations to work better with their landholders, community and stakeholder to resolve complex issues quickly, for the benefit of all parties.
